Welkom To Our Beloved Wijdesteeg 24.
- WiFi code: see the back of the door on the kitchen cupboard above the sink for the password (it's the "KPNC1E0D6" network).
- There's a bike store with loads of space that you are welcome to use. It's the same blue key that you use to get in from the street. You can use spaces 24 and 26.
- The postbox for the flat is number 24 as you enter from the street. Feel free to bring up the post, but it's not necessary.
- Heating: turn the thermostats in each room as required (please turn to under 17 degrees when out of the flat for a long period/when you leave).
- Once word on the street gets around that you've been in the property, the great people of Amsterdam will be very keen to get their hands on whatever merch they can from the flat. We would suggest keeping the door double locked at all times. If you can shut windows and turn off lights before leaving that'd be fab (there have been a few robberies in the building recently).
- The full address is: Wijdesteeg 24, Amsterdam 1012 RN, the Netherlands.
- Hot water: we have a Quooker tap in the kitchen (so no kettle). Double tap and turn to get instant boiling water, or watch this video on how to use the Quooker tap.
- Dishwasher tablets are under the sink.
- Hob/oven: feel free to use, and message us if anything is not clear about how to use it.
- Fresh kitchen towels (hand, tea towels and wet cloths) are in the laundry room.
- Waste
- You can put out the bins any time using the street waste bins (no need to wait until a specific slot in the week. The closest bins are if you come out of the main entrance and turn left - they're right by the Paleisstraat tram stop.
- Paper and glass are recycled separately to the general waste. The bins are clearly labeled on the street.
- When the doorbell goes, you can buzz them in via the door entry phone by lifting the phone and pressing the key button.
- The hoover is stored in the little utility cupboard.
- Washing machine: let us know if you have any questions.
- We’ll put fresh bed sheets on the bed for you; when leaving just take off the bedding and leave it in the laundry bin.
- Please help yourself to towels that are in the green/grey cabinet. Large towels are in the bottom section, and medium-sized ones are in the middle section. Bedding is in the top section.
